We’re Still in Business!
It has been quite the month, to say the least! We hope that you are doing well, staying safe, and trying to make the best of a very difficult situation. Make your favorite coffee drink, cozy up, and read a journal—preferably a copy of Sheepshead Review.
Online classes may make it seem like it would be impossible for us to complete our Spring 2020 issue for this semester. Rest assured—Sheepshead isn’t going anywhere—and the issue is in full swing!
Now, we probably know what you’re thinking. How are we going to distribute copies of the journal while students, staff, and the community are confined in their homes? We have two answers for you:
- The Spring 2020 issue will be available to you online! That way you can still enjoy great pieces of writing and art, from the comfort of your home. More information to come in the future.
- We will also be distributing physical copies in the fall once students and staff have returned. Yay!
We are still working hard to make the magic happen. Last week, our editorial staff had a Zoom meeting to discuss next steps in the production process. There may have been some guest stars (aka our adorable pets) that made some appearances throughout. The staff has been split up into small groups to tackle copy editing, which has become much easier to do online thanks to the help of our Chief Copy Editor, Brooke, who made a presentation to follow along with.
We miss being able to see each other’s smiling faces every Monday and Wednesday, but we are still finding ways to stay connected, and are looking forward to finishing this semester’s issue for you to enjoy.
More to come soon!
